Merrick Steinberg has concentrated his practice on real estate law, business law, corporate law, trust and estates and estate administration.  His real estate experience includes representing developers, owners and lenders in the acquisition, development, sale and leasing of large scale multifamily residential, commercial, office, retail and industrial projects.

Mr. Steinberg also represents business clients and privately held companies, using his business and tax expertise in providing advice with respect to the formation of business entities (including, corporations, limited liability companies and partnerships); all aspects of acquisitions and dispositions of business including negotiating transactions; and the preparation of purchase and sale agreements and asset acquisitions and disposition agreements; and the preparation and negotiation of a wide variety of commercial agreements.

Mr. Steinberg’s practice also encompasses trust and estates where he assists the firm’s clients with estate planning matters, including the preparation of wills and trust agreements and advice concerning the application of estate, inheritance and gift taxes.  He also provides advise to executors, administrators and trustees in connection with the administration, management and distribution of estate and trust assets.  Mr. Steinberg has lectured on issues involving taxation, real estate, other business and corporation matters and estate planning.
